Founded in 1724, Rémy Martin celebrates three centuries of exceptional cognacs, distilled and aged in-house. To mark this anniversary, the cognac house will highlight its past, present, and future in 2024 by paying tribute to its exceptional distillates. For this occasion, the cognac house is launching a limited edition and brand-new cognac: Coupe 300e Anniversaire. This special bottle showcases the expertise and innovation of Rémy Martin, a house known for its sustainable development and relentless pursuit of perfection.

“For 300 years, the House of Rémy Martin has passed down its knowledge and expertise from generation to generation. Today, Rémy Martin relies not only on family heritage but also on a range of partners to combine perfection and sustainability. We have a collective responsibility to protect our soil for future generations. By working with winemakers in Grande and Petite Champagne and supporting new talent worldwide, we aim to future-proof our family heritage for the next 300 years.”

Marie-Amélie de Leusse, President of the Rémy Cointreau Group

A strong philosophy and expertise underpin the unique production of Rémy Martin. Since 1724, Rémy Martin cognacs have been synonymous with passion, excellence, and expertise. The cognac house believes that the success and quality of its cognacs have been based for three centuries on the unique character of its raw materials, as well as the skills of its craftsmen: from winemakers to distillers to coopers. Rémy Martin derives its identity from the heart of the Cognac region, encompassing the Bois Ordinaires, Fins Bois, Bons Bois, Borderies, Grande Champagne, and Petite Champagne crus. It is the only major house specializing in Fine Champagne cognac, a special blend of Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne.

300 YEARS OF HISTORY AND EXCEPTIONAL COGNACS

The celebration of Rémy Martin’s 300th anniversary will take place in 2024, with a series of special activities around the world.

Limited edition of an original cognac

The Coupe 300e Anniversaire – available as a limited edition in a beautiful wooden case – is both a tribute to the cognac house’s heritage and a vision for the next 300 years. To create this Coupe 300e Anniversaire, cellar master Baptiste Loiseau drew from the house’s history and his cellar, using the previous Coupe du 290e Anniversaire, which was blended with eaux-de-vie from the Coupe du 275e Anniversaire. He enriched this exceptional blend with a selection of elegant, harmonious eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne terroir, known for their unique aromatic qualities and aging potential. A “Réserve Perpétuelle” of Rémy Martin has been established and maintained over the years by generations of cellar masters.

“This ‘Réserve Perpétuelle’ is a tradition that has endured for centuries: when we create a new Coupe, we set aside a portion for future cellar masters. They, in turn, can use these cellar treasures to create the next anniversary Coupe and continue the tradition.”

Baptiste Loiseau

The decanter of the Coupe 300e Anniversaire is inspired by the iconic shape of the Coupe 250e Anniversaire from 1974 and is adorned with embossed lines symbolizing the line of the archer’s spear, the emblem of the cognac house since 1870.

Tasting notes Coupe 300e Anniversaire:

  • Appearance: light amber patina.
  • Nose: lively, bright aromas of candied orange, passion fruit, sandalwood, leather, spice mix, underbrush, and a hint of floral notes. Rancio notes keep the aromas fresh.
  • Palate: flavors of candied fruit, passion fruit, fig, exotic fruit, nuts, and subtle wood tones, with elegance and tension that ensure a very long finish.
  • Body: an impressive structure, explosiveness, a refined expression of fresh fruit combined with a long finish.

Fifty-six numbered bottles of the Coupe 300e Anniversaire will be available this year at specialized outlets in the Benelux and at www.RemyMartin.com. Recommended retail price: €2,500.
