Montblanc unveiled its latest leather collections at Milan Fashion Week, hosting a breakfast preview for media, influencers and VIP guests at Salone dei Tessuti. The neo-gothic space welcomed guests including Xavier Dolan, Poppy Delevingne, Bianca Balti, Johannes Huebl, and Simone Susinna on an immersive journey of design conceptualized by Montblanc Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta in celebration of Italian leather craftsmanship. Upon entering the showroom, guests were greeted with the Montblanc Spring/Summer 2025 leather collections, artfully set on a selection of mid-century furniture pieces curated in partnership with Italian gallery Volumnia.

“Milan is a city that lives and breathes design, making it the natural setting for Montblanc’s latest showroom where we have put the spotlight firmly on the art of craftsmanship – a concept at the heart of our Maison that can be felt across all product categories, from writing instruments created in Hamburg to leather goods crafted in Florence. I envisioned the showroom as a space where guests could find inspiration in the world design and immerse themselves in the many forms of craftsmanship expressed at Montblanc,”

explains Marco Tomasetta, Montblanc Artistic Director.

The Montblanc Spring/Summer 2025 leather collections previewed at Salone dei Tessuti balance the Maison’s rich heritage with the distinctly bold new designs codes, shapes and original colors created under the direction of Marco Tomasetta. Leather novelties on display included the Meisterstück collection with its new mountain closure reimagined in various sizes; the Soft collection with its delicate color palette and re-sized hero shapes; the Sartorial collection with its eye-catching multi-lime color capsule, and the Extreme 3.0 collection with its M LOCK 4810 buckle customization project and a travel capsule in a light jacquard fabric.

Craftsmanship has been of particular focus for Montblanc this year as the Maison celebrates the 100th anniversary of its design icon, the Meisterstück writing instrument. With its recognizable cigar-shaped design, three gold rings and handcrafted gold nib, the all-black fountain pen was named Meisterstück or “masterpiece” in German to describe its status as a work of the highest level of craftsmanship realized through the skills of Montblanc artisans. Since its inception in 1924, the Meisterstück has become synonymous with Montblanc and grown into a symbol of writing culture.
