Indie Jazz band SML released their debut album “Small Medium Large” on Friday, June 28th. Discover the band’s distinctive sound as they draw inspirations from the greatest name in jazz. Eclectic and groovy, “Small Medium Large” is a mirror of its time, and testify of jazz’s evolution and accessibility.

Thought as a testament to the fertile modern LA scene, the album gathers influences such as the experimental music of Can, the unique rhythm of Fela Kuti, Parliament-Funkadelic’s emblematic low-end elasticity and the glitchy dub techno of Pole. It only took two-nights stands to record live all the chopped compositions and reassemble them to give life to “Small Medium Large”.
